It isn't the worst JV fragrance I've ever tried, but certainly not the best. I suggest JV's fragrance "John Varvatos" over "Vintage" 100%.

fresh and tobacco scent

A sweet leather-smoky scent, classic but in a modernish way. Also has some warm spicy notes. Not a huge fan of leather so this wasnt great for me, but does seem pretty smooth

To me this smells unique compared to everything out there. I've samples over 200 scents and nothing is similar. The scent comes off as classic and gentlemanly - something you'd expect a grandpa in a suit to wear - but in a good way

Excellent

This one has a mild fougere vibe, and also has some sweetness and leather blended in carefully. Reminds me ever so slightly of Drakkar Noir. A bit more mature than some others from the brand, but I can see it being worn as young as mid-20s. More of a nighttime fragrance like Varvatos Classic and Dark Rebel Rider, best in fall weather temperatures.

This is such an interesting combination of green, musky and leathery. Its unique and grown up. Def going to grab a bottle, and based on one spray.
