Decanted Sample of Gentleman EDP by Givenchy Paris

I thought this fragrance was solid, but it's nothing special. I prefer the reserve privee over this one.

Probably my least favorite in an excellent line, but I still like it. Very powdery and I pick up on a lot of pepper. Feels a little more formal and not as versatile as intense or boisee.

I was excited for this one with the iris note. It was just ok.

Could be used in any occasion, smells clean and powdery to me definitely woody. Reminds me of the lumber isles of Home Depot honestly.

It's a classy and captivating fragrance. It has a fresh and warm scent that makes you feel confident. You can wear it for any occasion, and it lasts a long time. People around you will notice and like it.

For the Gentleman line this falls right behind Boisee. To me it gives off a slight soapy freshness off the top, but is slowly overtaken by powdery sweetness with an iris undertone. Not as much iris and sweetness as Reserve Privee, but still not a huge fan.

If you could only own one fragrance from the Gentleman line, this would most likely be your best bet. It hammers out the kinks that the EDT has, and rounds out the citrus that is in the EDT Intense. Very nice fragrance.

Pretty solid fragrance. Great for fall and winter. Slightly powdery as well. Wish it was a little less soft

Nice clean and powdery scent, but I would rather have the Gentlemen Boise flanker

This fragrance smells amazing to me, it really has some barbershop vibes to me. It has a lot of vanilla and powder notes, but it’s has enough other supporting not to not be to sweet and is still masculine. I smells clean, fresh, and sophisticated, just like a gentleman.

To me the only downside could be it’s not really versatile, I can only imagine wearing this in formal/semi-formal situations.

- **doesnt compare w spicebomb, way too powdery for me.
- immediately its a nice scent... powdery(4/10), iris (5/10), slight bite(3/10), manly, warm(5/10), cinnamon(5/10). But in the spicebomb is very similar & i do not like babypowder smelling scents.

It's a solid fragrance, but I still really like the original Gentleman EDT a lot better.  This is more of a Fall/Winter fragrance and reminds me a lot of La Nuit de l'Homme in a way.  Haven't tried the other flankers in the Gentleman line but this one is a good start.

It's a decent fragrance, but it's like it's trying to be Dior Homme Intense, which is the better fragrance.  Performance was good, but if I'd rather go with DHI over this one.
