Decanted Sample of Cedrat Boise by Mancera

I still prefer Aventus. But this is a good alternative, given the the price.

Someone else said that this smelled like a cheaper version of Creed Aventus and I would have to agree. Although, it's not as intense as Aventus in my opinion. It's not a scent for me, but if you are looking for a typical old school male cologne smell then give it a try.

Apparently I just don't like anything that is in the Aventus style DNA. I get something pungent with this one and a little bit of lemon cleaner.

This scent is a beautiful citrus that is perfect for summer time. It is quite simple and not doing too much. If you want a simple, citrus scent then this is perfect for you.

Smells like cheap Aventus with lemon, pleasant but inferior. Good for the price.

Good smelling and very fruity

In my opinion, this fragrance is very strong and almost too strong. It has some fruity notes which I like but also a lot of wood and a strong leather note, which is why I don’t like it. If you like fruity and leathery notes in your fragrance, you are going to love this one. The longevity and projection is beastly on this. Still, not my favorite.

Smells synthetic when first sprayed but dries down great and has nice longevity and projection.

Very interesting opening, took some time to like it but in the end a very nice smell.

Cedrat Boise by Mancera is sharp and professional. With tangy citruses and sophisticated notes, it leaves a lasting impression. Perfect for a polished and confident presence in any business setting.

The fruity notes in this one makes it the clear winner over the intense version. It’s a perfectly well blended fragrance, and on my skin smells tremendous.

I would prefer not to smell it again but scent is subjective. Too sharp of something can't place it but very off-putting.

For the hype this receives I was disappointed.   Honestly I thought it smells like someone sprayed Aventus on an ashtray.  In the air it's not as bad, but up close.... eh.

Strong but pleasant. Compared with the Intense variation, this has more emphasis on fruitiness

Coming off of sampling Initio, this was a drop-kick to the nose. Subtlety is not it's strong suit, lol. This is very strong, very sharp, very in-you-face. It's not a bad scent, just a little too strong and pronounced for me.

It's a nice fruity and woody scent. Lasts a decent amount of time. It's just not anything to write home about for me. Maybe that's because I really like Monteblanc Explorer, so that's what I prefer to get that dna. I do want to try the intense version next!

Too much cedar. Not to my personal liking. So glad I tried this in a decant rather than a full bottle!

Very strong opening then a nice fruity dry down long lasting. Not masculine to me

What I get from this is:
1) Smoke
2) Woodsy
3) Lemon
In that order. I view it mostly as a cooler weather scent/evening scent but could be worn most of the year. It lasts 8+ hours, with 3 hours of pretty strong projection. I was somewhat disappointed as I've heard it hyped up as truly groundbreaking but to me, it's just OK.

Luvin on the cedar mix with a more tropical lemonly aroma join later by a light vanilla all in all this is a very unique union of some of the best to inculcate in to a fragrance. Ican't detact any hint of aventus

The first time I smelled this I was blown away! I don’t think I’ve ever smelled a scent like this before. I nicknamed it the “dirty citrus ashtray”, but it’s in a good way. Has a smoky vibe with this beautiful citrus. Every time I wear it I just get so relaxed . 11/10

Sweet fruity woody opening with a hint of smokiness. Leather/vanilla/wood really come forward and take over the show in the drydown. It's not an Aventus clone. Bought a bottle on sale after running through this sample and have gotten several unsolicited compliments. Projection works really well for me. Longevity around 7-8h on my skin.

Its a decent fruity fragrance. There are better options

Seems to be alittle overhyped, I like the dry down more than the opening and reminds me of CDNIM/Aventus

I mostly get a mildy synthetic, fruity leather from this. I think it's unique enough to not be considered an Aventus clone, though it certainly could have drawn inspiration from it. Somewhat unisex vibe, and feels suitable for casual daytime occasions in spring and summer. Worth getting a full bottle if it's on sale.

Really good frag,it is more of a mellow aventus..little juicy and fruity ..great one for summer

Smelling it initially on paper, it is extremely sharp. On skin however, it is much more mellow. Maybe my nose isn't mature enough, but it is definitely very similar to aventus. I prefer aventus, and for the price you're paying for the mancera, I think you'd be better off with CDNIM.

Ok scent in the opening…. Dry downs a bit dusty.

- just not very good
- immediate - not bad, smooth, fruity (lemony), kinda light, not spicy, not peppery, no bite to it.
- Might not be "manly" enough for me (40 m), maybe a young guys scent.
- wife says its not good.
- theres a slight woody scent which is good.(4/10)... but overpowered by the fruity scent (7/10)
- reminds me of ultra male

People compare this to Aventus, but I think this one has a character all its own. Its spicier and greener, and the woods you get from the dry down are absolutely fantastic. Just one spray from the decant made me want to go out and get a bottle.

They say Cedrat Boise is the gateway to buying niche fragrances because it's a great frag for less money.  I didn't like it.  I've smelled way more designer fragrances that are better than this and 1/4 the price.  Sorry but this one is a pass for me.

It came off as kind of synthetic to me.  It wasn't horrible, but it's not worth the purchase imo.
