While I find Layton somewhat interesting, I just don't see myself having a use. It would be a fall/winter frag and the notes are not for me. Opens with a sweet realistic vanilla against a fruity/citrus backdrop. After the vanilla gives way to the florals, the sandlewood shows up and it is extremely pleasing.

Reminds me of Christmas

I read alot of good things, but wasn't for me. I got a cedar scent out of it. I live in a region that is always hot so something like Layton isn't good

This is a beautiful apple vanilla scent and it has very good projection. If you're looking for a easy to like niche fragrance I would definitely recommend Layton.

Balanced spicy gourmand

A nice spicy but sweet scent that isn't overpowering on either end. There is a slight vanilla mint base note, but I don't think it smells like menthol, like some other reviews say.
The scent gets even better at the dry down. If you are looking for a pleasant spicy and gourmand smell that balances nicely, this is worth a try.

Fun niche fragrance

It’s a good scent I get the apple pie thing but with the likes of detour noir I don’t know it fits the bill I have yet to try detour noir but if it’s like this it would be a perfect frag for cheap this frag is good I just can’t get behind the price

Classy, but...

Layton is a high quality scent that is both smooth, and elegant. My issue is I'm one of those who gets the menthol note in the opening. It still smells good, but it's not for me.

The vicks vaporub people mention definitely was the first thing that hit me and not in a pleasant way. Dries down into a very boring flat vanilla. There are better vanilla scents out there.

It’s a nice scent, not for everyone. I didn’t get the hype but also showered after about an hour with it on and could still smell it. I thought it was better after the shower. Try a sample first.

I really like how this one smells. It has a weird opening and I get this vapo rub vibe to it but after a while that mellows and what's left is a pretty decent mix of apple and spice and vanilla blended well. Longevity is good. This would be amazing for fall weather.

Man this frag smells really good. First time trying a PDM frag. Smells like something you can wear whenever. I gotta say though for me it reminded me a lot of Coral Fantasy in how the sweetness came through. Will definitely be adding this to my collection in the near future.

Signature scent worthy

Definitely one of best from the house. Can be worn in just any about any situation. I think you can even get away with it in the Summer if you’re light on the trigger. It has a certain something like pine tar or eucalyptus that’s strong in the beginning then fades to the background. I like it but it could be a bit polarizing. After the first hour that note is much less pronounced. Great starter niche as well.

This was my 2nd niche decant and was kind of disappointed. All I could smell is vicks vaporub... I'm sure other PDM fragrances are great but this was their #1 best seller so I'm surprised how much love this gets. That's why getting decants is important because this could have been a $300 regret.

This fragrance has an incredible scent profile. It’s a warm, only slightly sweet vanilla, somewhat baked-good smelling fragrance. The way it’s typically described makes it seem gourmand, but I would argue this fragrance is definitely not gourmand. This fragrance is only slightly sweet. Its “apple pie” characteristic is literally like the spiced baked pastry smell of an apple pie. Definitely a pretty safe fragrance due to its incredibly likeable dna. However it’s probably too expensive.

Very strong green apple scent backed up by a fresh cool mint. This is a very appealing fragrance that you will have you struggling to find someone turned away by it.
However, for the price point it sits at the performance is severely lacking. Longevity is lackluster and it will fade away fairly quickly. I believe this to be the result of a reformulation in the last year or two.
An older batch would get the full 5 stars.

Even though it smells like vapor rub its smells like it in a very rich way. It’s a very warm scent which you just want to keep on sniffing more and more. This is an amazing fragrance but not what I expected .

I understand the hype a little bit. It’s sweeter than I anticipated, and you do get the apple with some florals in the opening. This is a long lasting scent that performs best in colder weather. It smells great and will get many compliments.

I TRIED THIS FRAGRANCE TWICE FRIST TIME I WAS'NT SURE ABOUT THE PRODUCTION THE SECOND TINE THE PRODUTION WAS AMAJOR PLUS. I FIND OUT THE APPLE STAYED WITH FIRST AND SECOND NOTES IT HAD LIGHT SWEETNESS TO IT WHICH MADE THE GERANIUM PLESENT. I LIKE THIS FRAGRANCE AND CONTINUE USING IN THE FALL

Good, but happy I sample before

I'm not gonna buy a full bottle. It's not my cup of tea, but good overall. A little to sweet and to my nose smell a little bit like Vicks. Its doesn't smell Vicks to every nose, most people like this fragrance. The dry down is good !

Sweet, woody, minty fragrance

This was my first time ever smelling Layton. After two days of wear, I have some thoughts.
1) 2 sprays on my neck lasted over 8 hours easily. I’d say performance is very good
2) Once it dries down, I mostly get a minty vanilla smell. I can’t decide if it’s a warm or cool weather scent. I think it’s both.
3) The one issue with it is a get a menthol-like smell to it I can’t get out of my head. It’s very Vicks-like. I wish that wasn’t there.
Overall, a powerful sophisticated scent. I’d rate it a 7.5/10 with price in mind.

A classic apple, vanilla, woody fragrance. Smells amazing in the winter. Starts quite sweet and ends with a mix of sweet and creamy woods. Almost a little oudy in the dry down.

The opening was very sweet and fresh, almost minty. Great depth. You can tell it’s niche. When it dried down it became this sweet vanilla scent. It’s too sweet on my skin but I really appreciate it on others.

Cream of Niche

The overall jist of this fragrance is to essentially a slightly different Spicebomb Extreme. For the price i'd 1000% recommend spicebomb extreme and I also think it smells a bit better too. You might want to give this a try to compare to spicebomb, but the scent does not follow the hype IMO.

It's hard to review a fragrance that isn't really made for the masses. The opening of this one was promising, but the dry down didn't work for me. Something about the smell, maybe the mix of woods, fruits, powder and spice were just too much.
