Decanted Sample of L'Homme Ideal EDP by Guerlain

Not too strong, not too weak, it's just right.  Scent is incredible and takes the EDT to another level.  I like both, didn't think I needed to try the EDP but I'm glad I did.  Late fall into winter only, maybe you can skate by on a cool spring day.  Bottom line, it's the EDT with a cherry note.

First time Guerlain trier here, smells classy and high quality and definitely different.

I think it’s pretty unique even though I get reminded of a flat Dr Pepper sometimes, the cherry note is really lovely

Unique smell. Nice cherry note and last for 6 hours on my skin. More of a winter scent in my opinion.

I get bright cherry,  a bit of spice, tonka bean, and definitely for me has a solid dry down. 4/5

Very unique smell but the wood note I think the sandalwood really tickles my nose quite harshly

I was pleasantly surprised by how airy and well put together this fragrance is. The cherry isn’t too sweet or medicinal which I was afraid of. Kind of reminds me vaguely of Tom Ford’s Noir Extreme but less spicy. I think it’s the pistachio and almond that feels familiar. Moderate projection and longevity.

I wasn’t sure about the cherry and almond but I just had to try it and I surprisingly like it. Don’t get me wrong it won’t completely blow your socks off but it’s good and I would recommend it to most people it’s just not quite my style and don’t think it’s going to become a signature scent for me personally

Nice gourmand for the price at $150 for 3.4oz ($44/oz).

Interesting but not my style. Better than the EDT and Platine Prive.

To me this is a nice, pleasant fragrance.  I wouldn't go as far as saying it blows me out of the water, but you can't go wrong with it either.  Cherry and Almond dominate.  It just smells.... nice.

Smells amazing, the cherry and almond blend is incredible. The Ideal line never disappoints.

Its summer right now and it's not a summer scent. So I have yet to experience this at its fullest potential.

This is one of those scents that is very nice and well done, but I don't really see myself wearing it much. The cherry and almond are unique and its worth checking out.

What I get from this is mostly sweet, vanilla, warm spicy. I was worried it would be a little too feminine but it's not. This leans more toward cool months. I can't see this working in summer or high heat. Pretty solid overall.

Sweet ,with a cheery vibe. Kind of soft and more feminine Its more of a fall fragrance to me. But a nice scent

An awesome scent. Smells like cherry to me, even though that isn't an official note. I also pick up on the frankincense (a bit too much in the opening to be honest, but goes into the background in the mid which is great). Overall a very unique scent that you can really tell is quality.

It’s a soft and refined scent, almost reminds me of a similar vibe to Prada L’Homme. This is obviously a sweeter fragrance with the subtle cherry and almond notes. Great for fall and cozying up.

In my opinion Ideal EDP is a less refined version of Ideal Extreme. It is much sweeter and less smooth than Extreme and has a fruit candy smell off the top, whereas Extreme has more of a bitter cherry in the opening. Feels like the L’homme Ideal for a younger person, still a high quality fragrance.

I love this scent! I is powdery, creamy, cherry, and a strong dose of almond. It is a beautiful scent! I cannot stop spraying it on my arm and smelling, I just don’t know how to wear it. I think I would still buy it just to wear around the house! Do your self a favor, and try this!

The scent is very good and you can smell the sweet cherry after about 30 minutes but it does smell feminine so if you have an issue with that this might not be for you.

- immediate smell is decent. A slight bite (3/10), slightly warm (4/10), floural (3/10), powdery (5/10),
- 10 minutes later - cherry (5/10), almond (4/10). Cherry smells like cherry cough drop - not a pleasant smell to me.

These fragrances aren't local to me so I was glad to see that Decant House had some I could try.  I can honestly say this could pass as a blind buy now that I've smelled it.  I still think that Extreme is the best one so far but this one isn't far behind.  The sweet mixed with the spice is too good to pass up.
