L’Homme Ideal Platine Prive by Guerlain

I prefer a light, citrus based cologne and this is a winner. My normal go to colognes are Burberry’s Hero and Louis Vuitton’s Imagination. L’Homme Ideal Platine Prive is now my third cologne in rotation.

Fresh and unique

The opening is a blast of citrus that fades slowly into the almond yumminess that is characteristic of the L'homme Ideal line. Love it.

I can see why some people would like this, but for me it just hit my nose wrong or something. Def prefer LV imagination which this is sometimes compared to.

This fragrance is pretty comparable to LV's Imagination, which is saying a lot. It instead is more balanced and has an almost powdery element to it from the musk and almond whereas Imagination is more lemon forward. The grapefruit in platine prive adds a touch of fruity sweetness and you end up just having a very nice clean scent overall.

I like this one its definitely a nice pick up but do i love it more than other summer samples ive tried...no but you have to sample a wide range of stuff to find what works for you

This is a limited edition fragrance so try it soon! There's no telling how long it will be around.
For me, I really enjoyed the scent. It has a nice citrusy opening but maintains that "Guerlain"/Ideal-line feel. If you know, you know. I've heard it smells similar to Ideal Cologne, but I never tried that one.
Platine Prive smells great, but performance was pretty average. I took a point off for that, but your mileage my vary. Give it a try and see for yourself.
