Decanted Sample of Oud Wood by Tom Ford

This smells amazing.  Sweet oud and woody with a hint of lacquer at lift-off.  The scent one could literally die for.   Unfortunately it is lacking any sort of staying power making it almost pointless.  Enter Oud Wood PARFUM.  More intense, more interesting, tons of performance that gets better and better.... in effect, laughing at Oud Wood EDP.... followed by the unreasonable price tag.  What is one to do ????

Great scent with a very mass appealing smell, first oud fragrance and I really enjoy it. Smells super sophisticated and classy

There are many fragrances which would not exist without this perfect formulation. This is where everyone should start with oud. The oud is detectable, but not too barnyardy.

Never smelled Oud before but this was a good start. Smells woody, dark, manly. Projects decently but longevity is not there. Skin scent after about 2 hours. Smells good though. Will try Oud for Greatness next I hear it’s a beast mode fragrance.

Love it! Love all TF scents. This one is dark and mysterious. Like dense bark on a tree but in a good way.

Really nice. Spicy woody opening. Pleasantly sweet. The oud is really well adjusted for mass appeal while still remaining noticeable and deep. Honestly, performance is decent on my skin. 4-6 hours

Very woody and dry.   Somewhat medicinal and sterile.  Not for me.

At first I didn't like it--smells too much like an old man. But after a day or two I started to really enjoy it. Now I like to wear it at night just for myself.

As soon as I sprayed some on me for the first time I immediately regretted it. It smells awful. Definitely won't buy it again. Extremely overpriced IMHO.

Good smell and price

I had high expectations for this, seeing all of the reviews everywhere. Ultimately it just turned out to be... weird. The nostalgia factor kicked in right away when I sprayed it, but it reminded me of wood paneling, cracked leather and cigarette stained rooms. It dries down better than it started, and I certainly kept coming back to smell it, but I don't think I'd want to own this. If you're looking for a unique and different scent, this is definitely one to try. Thank goodness for decants.

I remember living in a downtown condo during my college years. It was an old building and made a lot of creaks and sounds, full of history. It also smelled exactly like this. I like smelling this for nostalgic reasons but not to wear on myself.

I usually don't go for oud frags, but this one makes it super accessible and smells clean and fresh. This thing is versatile and mass-appealing.

Woody, smooth and long-lasting.  You can't go wrong with this gem from the house of Tom Ford.  Perfect for Fall/Winter time!
