Decanted Sample of Tuxedo by Yves Saint Laurent

I really expected to like this one. Opening is a feminine boozy smell. Dry down smells luxurious and sharp, very simple decent fragrance. Criminally overrated and overpriced.

Peppery, patchoulli, vanilla. Great nightime wintery fragrance. Best of the YSL private line.

Tuxedo by YSL is an elegant, warm, vanilla and patchouli scent. It deserves much of the hype it gets, but IMHO it's not the "sexiest men's fragrance ever". It also doesn't justify the price when there are excellent clones of it that get pretty darn close for a lot less. Sample some alternatives before you buy.

These type of fragrance that add in vanilla that isn’t too sweet or gourmand are just perfect

This was unique for a designer fragrance. I get a strong Black Tea note in the forefront. It wasn't what I was expecting with a name like tuxedo.  It's definitely a unisex fragrance. If you like tea notes in your fragrance give this a try!

Tuxedo is by far one of my favorite frags I've smelled so far. It definitely deserves that praise and the words 'classy, elegant, sophisticated' fit it well.  

That being said, this is one that has some amazing clones that cost a fraction of the cost and get within 90% of what makes this scent special.  If you have some trained nose (real or imagined) I'm sure you'll be able to pick up differences but for most people one of the better dupes will replace the expensive OG easily.  If you have the money get Moustache EDP for a more realistic and rich vanilla but you absolutely won't regret going for Maison Alhambra The Tux(now called Winsome) or Kismet or one of the other higher quality clones.  

This fragrance deserves a spot in your lineup if you like rich vanilla, patchouli, scents that don't go gourmand.  Please give this a shot as it is a great one.

This is a strong and complex one. I liked it, but definitely not a daily wear for me.

The scent is luxury at its best. Best for date night or formal event .

This is the ultimate date night fragrance. Smokey and rich... It makes me feel so classy when I wear it.

Very classy smell. Like it a lot. Spicy and unique. Wanted it to project more though.

My favorite from the YSL line. The patchouli really makes this fragrance. I would say it smells 85% similar to Rochas Moustache with Rochas being heavy on the mandarin and vanilla. Not a safe blind buy, but a very good fragrance.

This has become one of my favorite fragrances. It smells very classy and elegant. Something worth saving for a special occasion forsure !

Great smell wanted to test it out and the longevity on it was good and it projected very well.

Unique and not mass appeal ling but I liked it

The patchouli and vanilla are very prominent when first sprayed making it smell very smooth and almost thick. During the dry down, the coriander makes it very subtle and seductive. It smells like Tom Ford Ombre Leather if the leather were replaced by vanilla.

Beautiful smell. This is one I would wear for myself. A bit overpriced, so Mustache EDP (also on this website) is a great alternative.

Classy, smooth date night . Boozy, leathery and good performance

Heard a-lot of hype on this one and instantly when I tried it it reminded me of CH men prive , very boozy warm smooth and very appealing. 8/10

I’m personally not a fan of leather scents in cologne, it smells too plastic, fake ish to me so I wasn’t a fan. I’ve heard great things tho so if you like a little bit of leather you will enjoy!

See what I did there? I had a hard time when I first sprayed this on because the similarities of what other fragrance this smelled exactly like completely eluded me. It wasn't until I called up a friend of mine and he immediately said it was exactly like Moustache EDP from Rochas that the neurons in my brain finally snapped back into place and I was hit with that ah-ha moment.  It's such a great smelling patchouli/amber bomb fragrance that you should try this fall!

Upscale and classy

I definitely picture someone wearing a tux with this cologne. It smells so classy and fancy. Because its so expensive, id only wear for special occasions.

Excellent selection for a night out, on a date, for dinner. Wife or girlfriend would like very much. Also recommend Rochas Moustache for an affordable alternative.

When I first smell this fragrance all I could think of was Tom Ford ombre leather Parfum but as it developed on my skin it became more of a creamy suede seductive cozy fragrance.

This is a really nice fragrance, but for the price I don't think it stands out against other competitors in the price range. If I'm going to spend this much on a fragrance, I would rather put it towards something more unique.

One of the best fragrances I have smelled. Lasted really long and smelled really good.
