The dreams of warmer days at the beach are in full force in my head on a nightly basis and I’m getting to the point where I can’t take snow that much longer. The constant clean-up with tools unfit for the job and the obnoxious shuffling of your feet to keep from slipping on ice is becoming mundane. The only shining light in the coldest winters are cold weather fragrances. Something about them just makes the unwavering battle of the northeast that much more palpable.
Now, I didn’t poll these results by no means. These are simply the top five winter fragrances that all of you have purchased over the past few months and this is based on pure sales numbers – so you know it’s going to be the purest top five to beat! I’ll go in reverse order this time, just to keep things interesting.
5. The One Parfum by Dolce & Gabbana
The iconic fragrance line that is The One by Dolce & Gabbana launched this fragrance last year in 2025 and is the 14th fragrance in the line. The One EDP was the newest iteration also released in 2025 but judging by the numbers, you all picked the Parfum the most. I’m not usually a fan of this line but this fragrance is actually very nice.
In the opening we have nutmeg, orange and black pepper. In the mid we have labdanum, clary sage and patchouli & in the base we have amber, tobacco and vetiver. Warm and spicy undertones along with a touch of citrus and florals The One makes this one a good one to get those compliments from the one in your life. Too many one’s? Sorry, had to. Give this one a try and pick one up right here.
4. Spicebomb Metallic Musk by Viktor & Rolf
I’m not the one to ask about anything related to Spicebomb, mostly because it’s a youthful fragrance and I’m just a bit too over the line for youthful. I will say though that their Night Vision fragrance are superb and I like them very much (mostly the EDP). I still went into this review with an open mind and I gotta say it shares a lot of similarities to The One Parfum.
In the opening there’s aldehydes, black pepper, elemi and bergamot. In the mid we have pepper, cinnamon and lavender. In the base there’s musk, leather, ambrette and labdanum. While the notes don’t match entirely, the scent profile is almost uncanny. You REALLY must put your nose to it to pick up the subtle differences of the two. To me, if you’re walking the mall and you smell this on someone and then you walk by someone else and smell the same thing, you may not know they’re wearing two totally different fragrances. It’s not bad by any means, just too much of the same thing. I want something different, more enticing, more inviting, more mysterious. For this one, I’ll stick to the Night Vision line and let you youngin’s keep this one. If you want to give it a shot, pick up your sample right here.
3. Layton by Parfums de Marly
Ok, now we’re moving into different territory with some different notes hitting the nose. This fragrance is the quintessential fragrance from PDM that everybody knows and loves since its launch in 2016. Somehow the fragrance designer has made a cold weather fragrance also smell fresh and spicy at the same time. Let’s unpack these notes cause…there’s a lot of ‘em.
In the opening we have apple, lavender, bergamot and mandarin orange. In the mid we have geranium, violet and jasmine. In the base we have vanilla, cardamom, sandalwood, pepper, guaiac wood, patchouli, coumarin and ambermax. Whoa, that’s a lot of notes and I only pickup around half of them. I get the florals, I get the touches of sweetness from the fruits and citrus notes, but the main feature is what’s lying in the base notes. All those notes combined with these other subtle touches up top make for a beautiful fragrance for all your cold weather needs. If you have yet to try Layton, I urge you to grab a sample here and give it a try. You won’t regret it.
2. Stronger With You Intensely by Emporio Armani
I’m so happy to see a fragrance that I personally gave my highest marks for in my Stronger With You Mega Review I wrote back a few years ago still sitting pretty in the number 2 spot. I don’t have a ton more to say about this fragrance that I haven’t already said (if you haven’t read that blog, check it out) but this fragrance is just pure perfection for fall and winter. It’s the absolute perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
In the opening we have pink pepper, juniper and violet. In the mid we have toffee, cinnamon, lavender and sage. In the base we have vanilla, amber, tonka bean and suede.
I won’t lead you astray with this one much like I haven’t since 2022 when I wrote that other blog. This fragrance is amazing and needs to be sampled if you haven’t already. I urge you to rush to this link right here and order a sample. I promise you’ll buy a full bottle once you smell this.
1. Ombre Nomade by LouisVuitton
As if anyone was as unsurprised as me, the number one fragrance chosen by you for the cold weather seasons is my ultimate number 1 fragrance of all time. I’ve glazed over this fragrance so much that I’m like that annoying parent with a child that keeps winning at things and I must keep talking about how good they are at everything they do. This fragrance is just so beast mode and so amazing there is just no competition in my mind.
The notes are agarwood, incense, rose, raspberry, saffron, amberwood, benzoin, birch and geranium. You can’t get much better than that.
There are days in the deep middle of summer that I would just stare at my Ombre Nomade bottle and say “soon…” I would yearn for the day that I can crack that bottle open and spray the most powerful three sprays that you could ever spray. That’s all it takes for this fragrance to linger for up to 36 hours on your skin. If you have yet to experience the best fragrance in my humble opinion, go here and buy today.
Final Thoughts
I gotta say, I’m impressed by all of you. You picked some of the best fragrances you can buy right now and are huge compliment pullers for this bitter cold season. I’m most impressed by your number one pick though. I couldn’t have seen this going any other way and I’m here for your ultimate decision. First blog of 2026 is already off to a banger, and I can’t wait until spring where I peek at your top five springtime fragrances. Until then, stay warm and keep on spraying. I’ll catch you all in the next one. Peace!
