Decanted Sample of Sauvage Elixir by Christian Dior

I’ve been loving it for hours.  I get some nice spicy cinnamon which I’ve enjoyed plus the lavender. Easily one of my favorites.

A very soft opening with citrus and floral notes. Over the other elixirs i have tried this one would be at the bottom not because its bad but because i like sweeter fragrances

Wow. Such a plain word to use for a fragrance, but it’s emphasized. It’s so different from the Sauvage DNA, but not in a bad way. The smell is absolutely incredible one of the best I’ve come across in my limited experience. Beware however of how potent this stuff is. The first time I applied it I had to shower and it still was shining through afterwards. The freshness, spiciness, and hints of wood/lavender sneak through. The only thing keeping it at a 4/5 is price and just how potent it is. I have a small working environment and I wouldn’t want to choke people out there. It would make a fantastic nighttime special occasion fragrance for me. Highly suggest trying for yourself

Powerful, long-lasting.

Strong and intoxicating, but not my fav from the line. Very licorice and spice focused. I’d give it a 3/5.

At first I didn't like it, the cardamom on this is spicy and strong but it's grown on me a LOT. Dry down is MUCH better and not as polarizing, just be careful about how much you spray. Better for colder weather.

Fresh citrus scent that is sweet. Not a blue fragrance vibe, but a sweet citrus focus. Cardamom is present. Grapefruit isn't zingy or sour, it smells more like bergamot with orange. Lavender softens the overall scent and keeps it smooth. Nutmeg is sweet and not as sharp and vibrant as in other fragrances. Very strong projection and silage.

Dior just knows how to make fragrances. this fragrance is a masterpiece in every extent of the word. The projection is amazing and the longevity is great. 6-8 hours easily. Super sweet syrupy scent that will get you noticed.

Absolutely nuclear performance. Go easy on sprays or you might kill someone. The smell is amazing though. Spicy version of the original.

The lavender and licorice are too prominent for me. Definitely closer to a niche than a designer. Well blended with quality ingredients but just not for me. Much too strong for the office, gym, and classroom.

People are definitely going to smell you coming or going... I only wish the scent was as interesting as it is powerful. This one doesn't excite me in the least.

Has an old-school, masculine vibe that reminds me of how I felt about Drakkar as a teenager. The scent doesn't smell outdated though. There's plenty of warm and fresh spices piled on top of that Sauvage DNA... it's a masterful blend. It's definitely different enough from others in the Sauvage line that it wouldn't be redundant if you already have one. Lastly, it performs like a beast!

So what else could you ask for? Well, maybe a lower price tag. This one won't be for everyone for that reason alone

It's a great scent and popular for a reason. Go light on the trigger projects super far. However it's not unique enough for me and too loud personally.

This cologne has a top note that smells floral yet still very masculine. The base notes have a heavy woody scent which is perfect for wear during the fall and winter season, if you ask me. Overall, I would give this cologne an 8 out of 10.

Absolutely incredible scent. It is super strong with just 2 sprays and it lasted about 12 hours on me and 8 before it became a skin scent. Also smells nothing like the others in the line which is a bonus!

not really a sauvage, a more refined mature scent than the Sauvage DNA. Love the licorice accord even though I normally don't like the smell of licorice

A very unique masculine fragrance, but it’s extremely sexy, and has great projection.

Very sweet and oriental. Strong licorice scent. Great winter fragrance. Great longevity and performance. Very smart fragrance.

If you're wanting an undeniably masculine fragrance with incredible strength & longevity. You must give this a try. It's deep, rich & spicy, yet still has some traces of that trademark Sauvage sweet & fresh mixed in underneath. It has similarities to some classics from the 80's without feeling dated. It feels like it's been modernized just enough. This is a perfect wear for fall & winter months, but in my honest opinion, this could be an all year scent. Just make sure you go very light with it during the hotter months. Because this stuff is strong! The only real negative that I can possibly think of is the price...I believe it is quality, but the price is definitely a little steep for a designer fragrance. So for that reason alone I wouldn't recommend blind buying a bottle. But do yourself a favor & atleast get a decant if you're at all interested.

This sent is so sexy and masculine. It’s stronger than the EDT but has a slight sweetness

Yeah, it might be loud, but I love this stuff. It lasts forever and I can't stop wanting to smell it. It's expensive for the amount you get, but I also find that, because it projects so well and lasts so long, you don't need nearly as much of it. One of my favorites.

If performance is a big factor for you personally than this is the fragrance for you. It lasted roughly 12hrs on my skin. For too loud for me personally though.

Strong, very good performance for a freshie. Smells like YSL Y parfum, not that thats a bad thing.

Nothing new. Loud and in your face. Quality fragrance. Not worth the hefty price tag for 2 oz at the big retail store but for a decenter…. Perfect .
