It's just like Layton with sweet, vanilla, and florals. On the drydown there seems to be a little more wood in the vanilla vs Layton. I would not get both. I think most would just smell the same vanilla finish but I'd prefer Exclusif for trimming that back a touch with the oud which is very faint.

Better than Layton

This kicks Layton up a notch. Imagine a dirty blue fragrance and you have Layton exclusif.

Dark and smoky

This starts very, very smoky. However, you can detect the original Layton underneath as it dries down. If the smoke is too much for you, I think it would work nicely to layer the original Layton on top of it.

Layton but with Grass

A nice take on Layton. Not a good blind buy. I would consider this one to be micro-seasonal fragrance. By that, I mean I would wear it at Christmas when it is actually cold and there is a fire burning. Guerlain's Santal Rose is also micro-seasonal. It's good when worn appropriately. I give it 5 stars if worn properly. I give it 3 stars if worn whenever you feel like it. Not super versatile but still a work of art, nonetheless.

Layton exclusif

Very similar to standard Layton, but darker and more interesting. It smells less fruity and more complex and mature. I prefer it

This is the type of scent PDM does best; mass appealing niche quality. Everything just comes together so well. Longevity, projection and sillage great on this one. This is what the most interesting man in the world would wear. "I don't always wear cologne but when I do, I prefer Layton Exclusif."

Better than the original

I sampled both of Laytons, and in my opinion Exclusif is better than the original. The opening in the original Layton smells like VapoRub ointment, and this one doesn't have that awful opening. It smells more sophisticated and well balanced.

I love this house! Nothing from PDM that I haven’t enjoyed. This is so similar to Layton with a metallic twist. I do not own any bottles from them but have several samples. This one is good!

Mature PDM Layton

More prominent notes of woods and oud which gives it that more dark and mature smell compared to the OG Layton. Sadly, it has a note of oakmoss which is not something my nose enjoys, leaving me to still prefer the OG. Maybe over time it will grow on me.

Layton with Oud

As simple as it sounds, Layton with a hint of oud, gives it a slight animalic undertone, more power, projection, longevity and compliments.
