Mature vetiver for summer

Full disclosure: As a house, I like Parfums de Marley. I like Terre d'Hermes too; It's my favorite vetiver fragrance. Perseus is an excellent vetiver-forward fragrance. They say vetiver smells like fancy hay. The vetiver used in Perseus has a very definitive green aspect to it, almost like petitgrain. Perseus is a perfect all-occasion summer fragrance.

PDM for the win

First time I sprayed this in store I didn’t care for it. As it dried down I found myself smelling my wrist and being intoxicated it more and more. Ordered a decant the next week and I’m in love. Citrus up top that dries down to something amazing. It’s unique and long lasting.

Heavy vetiver scent

This fragrance opens up with a lot of citrus, The dry down is all vetiver. Tom Ford's grey vetiver, in my opinion.

Bleh opening

The opening reminds me of cat pee. But the dry down is actually very nice. Extremely citrusy and bright in the dry down. Good performance. The opening kind of kills it for me though.

Grapefruit bomb with familiar drydown

This one starts off with a huge burst of fresh grapefruit and bergamot. The opening is tons of citrus and perfect for summer. The drydown is familiar as it is almost identical to Greenly and Sedly. It's as if PDM is just swapping in top notes for their new freshies (grapefruit for this one, apple for greenly, and mint for sedly). Overall, a very nice frag but I'm not sure I'd need all of these in my collection. Greenly is still my fav PDM freshie.

Not bad but not for me

I was expecting a juicy citrus and that isn't what this is. It's not bad but from the note breaks I thought it might smell like DGLB Italian Love or Elysium but this quickly becomes a vetiver dominated scent with a dry almost chalky vibe. Definitely unisex, not feminine but definitely down the middle. If mine was the only nose in the world I would give it one star but I can see a lot of people liking it. Amazing longevity for the type of scent. Little projection but good sillage.
